HERVEY BAY - YOUR WHALE WATCH ENCOUNTER AWAITS!
Humpback whales visit Hervey Bay every year from mid July to mid October, offering the most amazing experience to all visitors. Each day is different, and you never know what's going to happen next. It can be very exciting!
Hervey Bay is a stunning marine sanctuary used by the whales as a regular stop on their annual migration to Antartica, and we are known as 'The Whale Capital of the World'. Given the calm waters of Platypus Bay, there's no better place in Australia for whale watching and swimming with whales than Hervey Bay! A true paradise where the whales often allow close interaction.
