All Hervey Bay Whale Watching Tours

Hervey Bay whale watching season runs from mid July to mid October each year, and because of the way humpback whales use our bay (rest and play), we have been declared the World's First Whale Heritage Site. This is truly a unique whale sanctuary.

Local operators offer many whale watching cruises and here we list them all. Read our blog to understand how they're all divided and if you want to swim with whales read this guide.

There's no better place in Australia for whale watching and swimming with whales! Each day is different, and you never know what's going to happen next. It can be very exciting! A true paradise where the whales often allow close interaction.
