Wow! the sunset was truely amazing! Wil took us on a magical journey into the Sandy Straights Marine Park.
When we arrived we were welcomed with smiles, champagne and exquisite food.
We definitely recommend the sunset tour and hope to try one of the other cruises when we return!! A definite MUST when stopping in Hervey Bay.
Thanks for looking after us!!
Fabulous day, very different to the other tours. Relaxed and peaceful time, would book again in a heartbeat.I want to stay on the island all afternoon, pick me up later guys. Lovely ladies in the main office, very friendly.Saw lots of wildlife, highlight though was being on an empty paradise island for lunch.
Check it out for sure.
Suitable for all age groups. Staff as amazingly friendly, knowledgeable about the waterways and all creatures that live there, compassionate and passionate about the area. Super helpful and willing to answer any questions asked of the. Would recommend this as a MUST DO when visiting Hervey Bay.
Hervey Bay Sunset Tour with Indigenous artist playing didgeridoo. Wonderful
Travelled out to Round Island for sunset tour with Wil, Jacque, Mark and Donna on board. We were also introduced to an indigenouss artist and his young daughter Ruby who talked to us about his Butchella people, the making of the didgeridoo and the local language. He then disembarked and played the didgeridoo against the sunset - a magical experience. The crew were fantastic, champagne unending and food delicious (garlic prawns, rice paper rolls and antipasto tray) - a great couple of hours to spend at the end of the day. A tip: the boat does not go all the way to the beach so wear shorts and thongs if you want to get onto the island as the water to wade through could be above the knee - also a waterproof/dry bag for your camera or phone might be handy. Enjoy - highly recommended!
Friendly, welcoming and very informative tour
The Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tour was a friendly, interactive and informative tour. We saw turtles, dugongs, dolphins and more. Some on board snorkelled and others walked around the 2 islands that we visited. Our group were the only people there. Facilities on the boat were comfortable for visitors and crew. Refreshments were great. Come prepared to get off the boat, thongs, hat, sunscreen etc, prepare for the weather forecast of the day. It was great to learn more about the local Butchulla Aboriginal people. A relaxed and great day. Many thanks to all involved in making the day so memorable.
We had a fabulous Sunset Cruise that was relaxing and informative. Food was superb and plenty of it. Would thoroughly recommend this cruise for a birthday party or end of year office Christmas party. Will definitely try the Turtle Discovery tour next
Enough Eco for everyone
Thanks, we had the best day. We were superbly captained by Willi and Dusti our Butchulla guide , spotter and first mate taught us some Butchulla language and original animal names. Dusti had a vast knowledge he freely shared. We saw Brim, cormorants, oyster catchers, boobis, pelicans, a whistle kite, several eagles, several other birds I can't remember the name of, several dolphins, a manta ray, a sea eel, lots of coral, the iconic milbi(turtle) and Dusti swears he saw a dudong. We had a lovely walk on 2 islands. Willi sorted a tire dumped in the ocean and Dusti taught us how to care for Round Island. We walked around the island while others sun basked and and built sun castles. On the island there were rock pools and cormorant nesting sites as well as eagles pelicans and birds that looked like rocks. There were 2 memorial stones for lost fishermen on the far side of the island. It was too cold for us to snorkel but 2 strong fellas got in and had a frolick on the reef. The local fresh fruit and juice and water for morning tea was beautiful and the chicken wrap was scrumptious and chilled. Dusti even made me a cuppa. I'm sure the seats were comfortable but there was too much going on to sit on them often . The boat even had an Eco toilet which it was suggested we use prior to going on round island as it has a long drop toilet. The island has picnic tables a barbecue and a bench seat. Mum has bad osteoarthritis and had no mobility issues. A great day for kids of all ages.
Lovely day our
We (mum + 2 teenage boys) took this trip and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Extremely knowledgeable guides and Jacqui in the tour office couldn't have been more helpful. The vessel was well thought out and comfortable and having the glass bottom allowed us to view the coral reef. Although we didn't have much luck with the wildlife on the day, it was beautiful being out on the water in such a special part of our beautiful country.
Great day out
these guys offer a nice relaxing day on the water, every day is different, they offer snacks and lunch and commentary along the way. Great safe relaxing day out for the family.
snorkelling, turtles and dolphins

Very enjoyable day, lunch provided very tasty. Crew very informative about local knowledge along with a very capable skipper. Snorkelling available. On our trip we saw a variety of nature including turtles, Pelicans, sea birdsWe recommend Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours and joining and the Turtle Discovery Tour for one and all .
Amazing experience, great operators
I have now been out on the Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours sunset cruise and the discovery cruise. The sunset cruise was a wonderful way to spend our evening, with great food, beautiful sunset through the Urangan pier and a relaxing refreshing time spent with the amazing crew and other guests, although there are others on the boat you still have your own sense of intimacy with your surroundings. I would recommend this tour for a great way to unwind and relax. The discovery tour was a highlight, we saw amazing huge sea turtles, a pod of dolphins with a bubby and snorkled over the reef, lunch was provided and a lazy lunch was spent on one of the little islands. The Traditional owner tour guide on the tour was the best I have seen in a long time, he was a wealth of knowledge and I know I came away with a better appreciation for the beautiful country of the Butchulla people. Once again the crew on the Milbi were outstanding making sure everyone was comfortable. Both of these tours i found very reasonably priced and I would definitely go again. Easily 5 star***** for location, service, knowledge and overall great experience.
The old glass bottom boat has had a MAJOR facelift
Will the pirate and Jacki the sea wench will enthral all with their passion for the area and local knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out even in rough weather. Will is a very skilled operator of the boat. A great value experience.

Fish for days
What a great experience on this amazing boat. Great big viewing windows to see the plentiful fish and beautiful corals all full of colour. Not to mention the Sea turtle while snorkelling. Dusty the deckhand was also full of local knowledge. Jacqui and Wil were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble.
