What should I expect to see?

As we are entering a marine park, we cannot guarantee what you will see.  However, the Great Sandy Straits Marine Park is known for its abundant marine life including tropical fish, dolphins, dugongs, sea snakes, seabirds, reef sharks and of course turtles.

Are there bathroom facilities onboard? 

Yes there are! They do not allow space for disabled access, baby changing etc. 

What do I need to bring on the tour?

Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, camera, lightweight jacket & refillable water bottle.

Where does the tour depart from?

Our vessel 'The Milbi' will depart from Berth 5, Great Sandy Straits Marina, Buccaneer Drive, Urangan - however check in is at our office on the marina - just opposite Cafe Balaena, this is where we fit you for the included snorkelling gear and walk you down to the boat.

Do you cater for food allergies or specific diets?

Absolutely! Please advise at the time of booking your dietary requirements and we will happily adjust our meal option to suit your needs.

What if the weather is not favourable?

We are always happy to reschedule should the weather become unpleasant on the day of your tour, or we can explore any other tour options for you.

What if I need to cancel?

We require 24 hours notice of cancellation for a full refund. There is a 50% cancellation fee for under 24 hours notice OR we can reschedule your ticket for another day. There is no refund issued once the tour has departed the marina.

Is there a shop onboard?  

Yes, we have various merchandise, soft drinks, tea/coffee, alcoholic beverages and snacks available. We accept cash on board only.

Is the boat stable and how many passengers do you carry?

Yes. The Milbi is a flat bottomed vessel making her very stable. The waters of the marine park are smooth and sheltered waters. The Milbi is surveyed for 38 passengers, however we only ever take a maximum of 28 passengers to create a comfortable setting during the experience.

Do you have wheelchair access?

Yes we do!

Do you offer private charters?

The Milbi is available for private charter for up to 28 passengers or as few as 10. A private cruise on the Milbi is ideal for any special occasion such as a birthday celebration, corporate function, Christmas party or school groups. Find more information here.

When do you operate your Milbi Sunset tours?

Our Milbi Sunsets operate most days weather permitting. The only sunset tour in Hervey Bay that docks on the beach, also including an incredible cultural experience whilst the sun drops in the horizon.
